The following email was sitting quietly in my inbox this morning, along with other messages of lesser import:
Early this morning, the last of our troops left Iraq.
As we honor and reflect on the sacrifices that millions of men and women made for this war, I wanted to make sure you heard the news.
Bringing this war to a responsible end was a cause that sparked many Americans to get involved in the political process for the first time. Today’s outcome is a reminder that we all have a stake in our country’s future, and a say in the direction we choose.
Thank you.

Sure is a strange world we live in. There's a great section of our population who don't even think of our wars that we are involved in. Then others give their all. There is also a great sectioin of our population that are grateful, thankful, and know the pain of seperation and loss for the good of mankind. Hard time of year to reflect. Very emotional. So very happy for all those families that get to be reunited. Pray it comes to all still serving overseas. I can certainly see the build up of troops at Fort Lewis. Good, so very good, to have them home.
